I am so excited to bring you on this adventure with me! This experience is all new to me. Over a decade ago, I had a little blog on Blogger (just to post random happenings in my life) but this is my first real attempt at becoming a professional blogger. I couldn’t be more thrilled.
Each day I look forward to the time that I can sit down (I’m actually standing) at my computer and work. My lifestyle isn’t quite accommodating to a full time job outside of the home. I have 6 children, some of the small, some of them tall, and one in the middle. They keep me busy 24/7. In fact, it is after 1:00 am, and I just put the baby down for a third time tonight. She did NOT want to go to sleep! While I write, I do laundry, dishes, and prepare lunches for the next day. I even made my daughters some homemade rose vanilla lip balm! I like to take advantage of the little quiet time I have; very little quiet time.
This month I am going to be working hard perfecting my picture editing skills, writing posts, and promoting my blog. I can’t wait to share it all with you! I am making a list of some of my goals for this month. Check in with me in 28 days (I hope you will come back before then, too) and see how I have done!
Average one post per day – That is 28 posts! Since it is technically February 2nd, that might mean I’m a tad behind. I did write a post last night, but I’m not finished with it. Hopefully, I will get two finished by tomorrow night.
Get 100 followers on each of my social media accounts – Ok, that doesn’t sound like much, but I’m starting with nothing here. Feel free to click on the social media tabs to follow me on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. If you have a blog you’d like me to follow, just comment below!
Make my first $1 – Ok, this also might not seem like a lot, but I have been working on this blog from scratch for a month, and haven’t made a profit. I know it will take time, but I am hoping to make that first dollar this month.
Create a blogging planner – This is a paper planner where I am going to keep track of blog posts, post ideas, and organize my time better. I have read how important it is to plan out your blog posts and organize it on paper. I have seen some really cool ones on Pinterest for inspiration, but I haven’t physically started it.
Get better at creating images – So this isn’t my strongest talent, but I am going to work on it, until I feel more comfortable creating images with PicMonkey.
Get 1000 views on my blog – I’m hoping that I can get my blog views up to 1k by the end of the month. I am going to test out different methods of social media promotion to get the ball rolling!
So there are my 6 goals for February! I used to be afraid of the number 6. In fact, I refused to do anything in increments of 6. That was until my precious little daughter was born in September. She is 4 months old, my 6th child, and evens out the score Boys 3 – 3 Girls! Hooray for the number 6! She really completes our family.
What are some of your blogging goals? Feel free to leave a comment telling me what they are! Maybe we can help each other achieve our goals for this month and beyond!
